Eco-smart Cruising Packages
An innovative eco-smart tourism product designed for the Millennials and the Gen Z
Tourism is the cause of several negative impacts to the environment and also on a societal perspectives. The ECO-CRUISING FU_TOUR will design eco-smart cruising packages targeting Millennials and Gen Z, aiming at tackling the four negative impacts:
- Congestion: cruise passenger visitor flows may disrupt or congest local traffic and pedestrian routes
- Changing local
- Cultural heritage degradation
- Large visitor flows cause wear and tear on infrastructure, facilities, attractions and sites
The innovative composition of the eco-smart cruise package will contribute to minimise these negative impacts. In fact, the green component of the package will stimulate participants to enjoy nature-based tourism, where possible using alternative zero-impact means of transport to explore the places visited – all this while fostering environmental and cultural understanding, appreciation and conservation.
